When a learner requires medication that is prescribed by a doctor for a long-term medical need, such as an inhaler, an Individual Health Care Plan needs to be filled in.
Please note: Throat lozenges are not permitted in school.
Sun cream is not classed as medication unless specifically prescribed. It is managed through the school's risk assessment process.

For short‑term medication prescribed 4 times a day or more, a Medication Consent Form must be completed.

We are unable to administer non‑prescribed medication (e.g., pain relief). A parent/carer can come into school to administer this. Please arrange this in advance via office@croxbyprimary.co.uk.
If your child attends Breakfast Club or After School Club and takes prescribed medication 3 times a day, school may administer one dose during the school day. This does not apply to Croxby Activity Clubs or First Steps Clubs. Please contact the school office and complete the relevant consent form.
Children with medical/attendance plans or children with SEND who require medication relating to a diagnosed condition, please contact the office.
