As a whole class, we picked up the Golden Welly award for OPAL points and Mathematicians of the Week in assembly for a class average of 421 correct answers on Times Table Rock Stars. The Year 1 Mice aimed high today as they explored addition and subtraction within 10 for the first time! 🐭 They confidently used visual prompts to independently complete number sentences, demonstrating great accuracy and a fantastic start to their new learning. #aimhigh

As designers, Team Bees 🐝 were practicing the running stitch in preparation for making a class quilt. We were very proud of our efforts and continue to aim high in our learning.
As chefs, our Year 4 children baked bread in Design Technology on Tuesday. We learned how to prove the dough and practised kneading and knocking back the dough. During our evaluation and taste testing session, many pupils felt it needed to cook for a little longer in the oven! #teamcroxby #strivingforexcellence 🦡🐇🧑🍳🍞
Team Bees 🐝 are mathematicians working hard to add and subtract 1s from the whole. We are using our manipulations to concrete our knowledge. Well done Bees!
The Wrens have had a wonderful few weeks playing, exploring and learning together! They are building strong relationships with their friends, developing their social skills and creating lovely connections through shared experiences.
