Croxby Houses

Croxby Primary operates a very successful house points system as part of our positive ethos. This system complements our reward systems within the classroom and has been developed to give children an opportunity to demonstrate positive behaviour for learning throughout the day, including playtimes and lunchtimes.

Examples of good behaviour are rewarded with tokens, representing house points.

All children in the academy belong to one of four Houses, which have been inspired by our children in their work with education consultants Engaging Education.

Our Houses are based on literacy and the special behaviours which will make our children successful in their learning and compassionate young people when they leave us:

Rowling is the blue House and focuses on Resilience.

Tolkien is the red House and represents Determination.

Blyton is the yellow House and highlights Collaboration.

Dahl is the green House and celebrates Respect.

When your child starts within our school community, they will be allocated a House for the duration of their time at Croxby. Siblings will always be placed in the same House. Each House will have a House Captain and Vice-Captain selected from our Year 6 children. In addition, our Year 6 children take on roles as Sports Captains and Ambassadors ensuring they are role models for the younger children.
