Each year the PFA (Parents, Friends Association) organise a range of events aimed at providing our pupils and their parents, friends and families with the opportunity to meet together socially and raise money for school projects at the same time.
Over a number of years their very successful fund-raising events have provided a wide range of equipment and facilities that enrich and improve the learning environment for our children.
Some of the projects that have benefited from this additional financial support include investment in the refurbishment and extension to our school building including playground equipment, bi-folding partition doors in the Breakfast and After School Club. In addition the PFA provide every new pupil with a school book bag when they start school and throughout the year the Committee identify a wide range of areas to support both in and out of the classroom.
The main aim of the PFA is to bring families and children together to enjoy a range of social activities and experiences, with the added bonus of raising small amounts of money. The main fund-raising events are The Summer Gala and the Christmas Fair. These events create a wonderful atmosphere for all to enjoy. Both these are very well supported and raise the majority of the funds for the P.F.A.
We are very grateful for the efforts of all parents and staff who give their time so generously to raise funds to provide equipment and facilities that will enrich the pupils learning experiences. The continued success of the PFA will always depend on new parents coming forward to participate in the planning and preparing of these fundraising events and we would welcome any new members at any of the regular meetings throughout the year. All parents, grandparents, relatives, friends are always welcome at these meetings and we are always on the lookout for any new ideas.
P.F.A Committee look forward to meeting you
